This workshop is designed for people who are new to Focusing or wanting to deepen their skill in Focusing. There is no prerequisite. The primary intent of the workshop is to be able to learn what the Focusing process is and have some practice at Focusing alone. Although it usually takes more than a one day session to learn how to Focus, people are able to have a taste of the potential value of the process for themselves and open to further workshops and or training. 50% - information / 50% - experience. See below for current offerings. All workshops are donation based offerings.

This workshop is designed for people who have Focused successfully to some extent - for those who have experienced being with a felt sense in the body and seeing how a felt shift can happen and new possibilities open up for them. The primary intent of the workshop is twofold : first, to learn about, and practice, the role of Companion with a Focusing Partner, and second, to gain more experience and understanding of their own Focusing process. Although it usually takes more than a one day session to learn how to companion a person Focusing, an excellent foundation of basic skills and attitudes is gained. Prerequisite is Intro WS 1 or equivalent. 50% - information/ 50% - experience. See below for current offerings.
All workshops are donation based offerings.

This workshop is designed for people who have had experience in both Focuser and Companion roles in Focusing exchanges. Prerequisite is Intro WS1 and Intro WS2 or equivalent. The primary intent of this workshop is PRACTICE . Practicing Focusing and Companioning with different partners and processing questions or concerns that may arise in either of the roles is the main activity. Although we never stop learning about how to be more present and responsive to others, and to ourselves, this workshop provides people with the confidence to move forward to the next steps in becoming more proficient as both Focusers and Companions. 30% information / 70% experience. Once per month, we gather to exchange Focusing sessions. Each person taking the role of Focuser and Companion in a paired exchange. This is a special time for the participants to experience a level of community and shared valuation of one another and of the surprising and unanticipated benefits of Focusing. This group is designed for people who can fill both the roles of Focuser and Companion. To ensure the integrity of the Group, it is requested that before attending, participants have a Focusing exchange with a Certified Focusing Trainer (Steven Biesmann or Tara Breitenbucher ). Although there is wide range of experience , from beginning to advanced - it is hoped that everyone participating is able to function adequately in both roles.
Exceptions - people who may be interested in learning more about Focusing and are not able to fill both roles, are welcome to experience Focusing with one of the Trainers during the exchange time. This one time opportunity can then lead them to a workshop , a training or individual sessions to learn more. For more information about the Changes Group see below. This group is free of charge.
